It's been six weeks since my cohort and I started training. In some ways it feels like we have been here forever. In others, it seems like I stepped off the bus in Garberville and rode up the mountain only a few days ago. I think that is one of the first things I noticed up here. Time is weird. The hours can drag out, yet the days run together. I'm coaxing my night-person self out of bed in the darkness of not-yet dawn on Monday morning and suddenly, it's Saturday afternoon.I have to constantly check the calendar since I never seem to be able to keep track of what day it is.
